“The Continuous Cycle”
LOUDHOUSE X ARCHIVES Exhibitions. 2024
I explored the exhausting yet transformative nature of healing and growth. The performance, centered around the repetitive act of throwing and destroying the clay, mirrors the cyclical nature of progress and how we build, break, and begin again.
As the haunting cello drone loops and fills the space, the atmosphere becomes a meditative reflection of the inner turbulence one experiences in the face of setbacks. The dim lighting, harsh plastic surroundings, and relentless process of creation and destruction represent the frustrating reality of healing: just when we think we’re reaching completion, life disrupts, forcing us to start over. But with each restart, there is a quiet acknowledgment of the lessons learned and the accumulation of knowledge.
Through this piece, witness the resilience it takes to confront the cycle, and to reflect on the idea that healing is never linear, but instead an ongoing process of renewal.
